It's usually easier to break a system than it is to control it. And this is a clue to why so many "reform" proposals for government fail so badly.

When people make those hierarchies of subjects with math at the top and sociology on the bottom you can obtain the hierarchy of what kind of knowledge brings you most power by just turning that hierarchy on its head.

Twilight anaesthesia is one of the most fascinating states of consciousness and it seems really difficult to Google up much about it.
Any sufficiently small social network is indistinguishable from a group chat.
I read somewhere social networks are like clubs and when one gets lame/boring another sprouts up to take its place.
I also read about some networks having strong black-hole-like network effects that nothing can escape.
