I miss the days when social media was about connection and not about generating "content"

I understand, but the key difference is that you don't actually own a game when you use steam, you own the permission to use it while steam has the rights. With Bitwig there are no third parties involved, and in worse case scenario, if Bitwig goes bankrupt you will always own the latest version.

But with Bitwig (at least on Mac) you can keep different versions of the program installed, so you could just delete the old one after verifying the new one works and the license of that version is forever

My issue with all social media is that they all feel like a platform to sell and less of space to express yourself like it was before. Or maybe is my time to not get it as the ones that didn't understood twitter at their peak.

I'm im that point of my music career in which nobody actually knows me, but from time to time, a stranger in my city approaches me and says "Aren't you that person that..." and I'm not going to lie, it feels nice when it happens

The only thing I don't like about starting on a new social network from 0, is finding mutuals. Everything is better when you do have people you actually connect with. Until then is just a blank canvas, no matter how good it is.
