Recovering from surgery has been a major slog, a lot of managing energy levels, listening to my body and discomfort but so far smooth with only a few minor but common complications! (Photo is from the hospital but I'm home now)

I'm pleased Manchester once again rejected Reform's nasty divisive politics, and with Labour in 3rd again like the last council by-election in Manchester they need to do some soul searching. Congrats to Hannah and the Greens, and I'm proud of Jackie for focusing on local issues in her campaign

I'm also not well enough to attend tomorrow's budget council but I'm expecting that to be very hostile between some very tired Labour and Green councillors...

There's only one person who'll be able to vote for themselves in today's by election, and she was there at 7am as the polls opened to do so! I'm recovering from surgery so not able to attend the count this evening which given there's no pressure on us might be less stressful but there we go.
