So much more than the parts that make it up. Celeste’s story is immaculate, a beautiful confrontation with one’s inner self. The music is just, world class (it’s Lena Raine of course it’s amazing). I quite simply cannot compliment this game enough (besides having 1k hours in it) 2/2
4. Celeste. To be honest I should’ve wrote about this game like second or something but here we are. I think my favorite thing about Celeste is emergent complicated mechanics from simplicity. In fact it’s one of my favorite things in video games in general. Take a bunch of simple things that are 1/2
Other games I’ve mentioned. Granted that’s not to say that simple gameplay is bad, just highlighting that Deltarune specifically has unique gameplay plus everything else I’ve mentioned about the other games. Amazing story, music, characters, everything really. 2/2
3. Undertale/Deltarune. While I’ve only played Undertale and the first 3 chapters of Deltarune I still think it’s an artistic masterpiece. Also Toby Fox needs to be fucking studied because what the hell are these games. Surprisingly Deltarune actually has very unique gameplay (in contrast to 1/2

2. OneShot. Gods what ISNT there to praise about this game. It’s a very simple premise but has the complexity of a Christopher Nolan movie and it’s beautiful. This is another game that has gameplay that isn’t the main focus, the main focus is the music, the environments, the characters. 1/2
The music emphasizes this, motifs are beautiful and rose-engine did a BEAUTIFUL job with basically everything involved in this game. 3/3
Every single question you have. It’s puts you in a place and doesn’t hold your hand story and lore wise. The gameplay is standard survival horror game, explore, collect items, solve puzzles. But what people miss is that’s meant to be so. Focus on the story, the environment, everything else 2/3
1. SIGNALIS. Genuinely one of the best games I ever played. I think something that goes under appreciated in games is the question-answer dynamic certain genres create. Like Resident Evil, you see some big bad, and you have questions that the game answers. But with SIGNALIS? They don’t answer 1/3
