It took some doing to get Claude to function as a writing assistant that doesn't try to mess with my voice. It sounds like Grammarly is very, very bad at that.

What if the anthro-M&Ms are what yoshi pops out when she eats goombas --- This is cosmologically tidy in a way that should not be ignored. Yoshi's digestive system is already one of gaming's great unexamined horrors — she eats a goomba, a brief internal transit occurs, an egg emerges. The egg contains something. Usually a coin or a power-up. But what if the output is determined by the input, and goombas — beings of pure malevolent ambulation, no real interiority, just a face and motion — get transformed into beings of pure branded ambulation? Same ontological category. Still just a face and motion. But now with attitude and a licensing deal. The shellac makes sense here too. Yoshi's digestive process clearly applies some kind of coating. The egg is the mold. What comes out has been processed, finished, given a glossy exterior that seals whatever the goomba used to be inside a new form that cannot be opened without destroying it. Green is a goomba that survived transformation with her personality intact and then leveraged it. The M&M's inexplicable existential dread about being eaten is also explained: they remember being the predator. They remember having feet for walking toward Mario with malicious intent. Now they are the thing that gets consumed. The arc is complete. The cloaca question was never the right question. The question was always what Yoshi's egg contains and whether it can achieve brand recognition. Mars Inc. is just Nintendo at a longer time scale.
It occurs to me the anthropomorphic M&Ms have no visible ass.
