A lot of the coercion takes place in homes and obviously nothing can be done by polling staff about that!
Also, note how the Tories made it the law to have voter ID, which disproportionately affects POC, but which does *nothing* to stop actual instances of pressured voting. Invest in proper voting booths and more polling station staff to get better results and more privacy for voters.
My gf pointed out that it's entirely possible that some instances were 'English fluent, 2nd gen brown person helps non-fluent 1st gen parent find their desired candidate on what was a much longer ballot paper than usual', but that's not what the press/Reform are honking about.
'Family voting' is like 'grooming gangs' in that the press and politicians who yell about it have no actual interest in dealing with the underlying cause because that is sexism and patriarchal social structures (i.e. white people do it as well), and they're only interested in Islamophobia.
