I am sure there will be.
@carol4olivefarm
I am an actress and author and sometimes I'm involved in documentary filmmaking. I live in the South of France on an Olive Farm. I've won a few awards for my professional activities and for our extra virgin organic olive oil.
I am sure there will be.
It will be available in all bookshops.
I woke in the night thinking of the olive trees in Becheleah in Lebanon. They have been radio-carbon-dated at between 6,000 to 7,000 years old, still fruiting, still giving oil. These wars and their mongers have no care for the values of this earth.
Congratulations
Congratulations x
Wow, fabulous full house. Bravo. x
Here is a novel soon to be published by a friend of mine, Lizy Buchan, a fine writer. It should be getting loads of attention

Where is this from, Jim? It is horrifying.

It rained overnight. When I got up this morning zillions of small birds were in the parking, pecking industriously at the tarmac. I watched them through the window until my shadow, a movement must have alerted them to my presence. Then they rose as one and magically disappeared into the pine trees.
well done!
My wonderful husband has wings fashioned from blossoming peach trees.
almonds and peaches
I've been digging and sweeping and had a quick dip in the icy cold pool. My back aches but I am sitting by the log fire feeling nicely worn out and looking forward to a glass of wine. The pleasures of a simple life. (For a few house, I am trying to keep away from the news.)
I thought of you when I saw the pic. Missing my big lad ...
No, various kinds of flying fellows, mostly black or dark and with wings.
Of course they are not. I am trying to focus on the small details of my own surroundings and daily life because the news tears me apart and I cannot personally stop these maniacs who are killing innocent people.
I am not Annie Dillard, but Carol Drinkwater.
A little more tree planting today. Cloudy, overcast with a hint of possible rain which would bed the saplings in nicely. Log fire now. I might snooze while looking forward to a glass of wine.
I'll bring the wine and a book of poetry. x
Out on the land. White-bottomed bumblebees everywhere. The almond petals are floating like snowflakes to the grass where wildflowers, predominantly yellow, are alive with teeny creatures feeding. The cherry & plum blossoms are beginning to reveal themselves.Spring is awakening. Have a quiet day. xx
Real life, more of this, please
How wonderful
The city is about much more than that
Sounds uplifting
Ooh, I would love that life!
Great piece of advice, Joanne x
I am going to walk to the almond trees and imbibe their beauty. Our man's world sucks.
Neil Sedaka once sat on the arm of my seat on a flight between Sydney and LA, & sang 'Oh, Carol' to me. There was no one else in first class save for Neil's wife who was sleeping. We chatted and when I told him my name, he burst into song. R.I.P a man of great energy & enthusiasm.
