Very sadly, we share the passing of a member of the NFRSA family.
RPD Ted served with Greater Manchester Police for 7 years before retiring this summer.
Ted crossed over rainbow bridge after a short illness & our thoughts are with Paul & his family.

RPH Bodie retired to his devoted mounted officer, & while they had some adventures, he sadly passed away 20/7.
Bodie served for 9 years, a stellar career, keeping communities safe, & he was much loved.

Welcoming Retired Border Force Detector Dog Hunter, who has joined the NFRSA family.
Hunter was on the team based at Gatwick and was trained to detect drugs, firearms, people, and cash.
He recently made the national press for finding a large haul of Cocaine!

Thanks to your support, we have recently helped cover the cost of an HIF surgery for RPD Henry who served with Lincolnshire Police, with a grant of £2,000.
HIF is Humeral Intracondylar Fissure which affects the elbow joint in dogs & is extremely painful. Poor boy.

One of our recent grants was to RPD Elsie of @westmidlandspolice.bsky.social - a brood mummy, who produced new generations of police dogs.
Elsie needed a major op on her cruciate ligament & we were delighted to contribute £2,196 towards the cost.

November was a busy month for us, and one of the grants we gifted was to the beautiful RPH Blue from South Wales Police who suffered a bout of colic.
Thanks to the swift intervention of the vet, Blue has made a full recovery, & we were delighted to help cover those costs.

Dexter served for 6 years as a General Purpose Prison Patrol Dog before retiring with his handler.
While loyal to his Dad, he’s not all that keen on anyone else, but he does tolerate his two house mates!

As a retired police dog, he protected his handler (he once bit a suspect on the butt when he punched his handler in the throat!), and his communities for 7 years.

Retired prison dog Ace, who we recently gave a grant to, following a broken tooth when he was frightened by fireworks.
We’ve recently supported RPD Ace, who is a retired GP dog from HMP Belmarsh.
Ace was frightened by fireworks and broke a tooth. It had to be removed and we covered the costs for the operation.
