Uh oh I think one of my short stories wants to be a full length novel π«£
Hi I just finished @ceejthemoment.bsky.socialβs American Rapture and IM NOT OKAY. But I think this is gonna be one of my favorite books of the year, if not all time.
Looks like I need to move up some books on my TBR (but I am currently reading American Rapture and OH BOY is it creeping me out)
This movie is SO FUN.
I have three stories officially drafted for my #horror motherhood anthology Iβm writing. Itβs strange to go back two years to when my son was an infant but Iβm feeling really good about these pieces.
How rude!
All, most of you know by now what happened to me in February.
I've written an essay about this for @harpersbazaar.uol.com.br.web.brid.gy, and I hope you'll give it a read:
Update: first story has a first draft!
Okay so I JUST finished Wake Up and Open Your Eyes. My thoughts:
- wtf did I just read!? (Complimentary)
- is @claymcleod.bsky.social okay!?
- this may be one of the most disgusting books Iβve read (also complimentary)
- if you like weird wtf horror and hate Facts News (ποΈ) you NEED to read this.

YOU GUYS I am having so much fun working on this horror motherhood anthology. I canβt remember I had this much excitement over an idea. #horrorwriter #writercommunity
Well I just got goosebumps at what I think will become the title story π
This is a GENIUS hack
I will 100% take you up on that!!
Uh oh
The sudden urge to write a collection of horror short stories based around motherhood IS SO STRONG #horrorbooks #amwriting
I just started @claymcleod.bsky.socialβs Wake Up and Open Your Eyes and I can already tell Iβm in for a wild ride. Although I think I always am with his books (in the best way possible)
It is becoming unbelievably difficult to stay both informed and sane
Genius. Iβm also trying to not plot too much on this one because maybe thatβs adding to the scaries (because I canβt screw it up if I donβt know where itβs completely going!)
Like I *know* first drafts are messy and you can go back and change and make edits. But for some reason diving into that first draft is just intimidating
Anyone else get to the point that theyβve plotted out (in however much detail) their new WIP and itβs time to write but youβre too scared to start because what if you screw it up????
The amount of times my husband asks genuine questions about how publishing works makes me so thankful I have a partner that supports my goal of being a published author.
This episode was amazing in the way that we are all losing our minds together.
Well now Iβm extra excited for it!
Boy do I relate to this.
Good news guys the nausea is gone. I could cry Iβm so happy Crawford won.
If you need me from now until Tuesday night/wednesday morning Iβm too busy being nauseated and praying my fellow Wisconsinites vote for womenβs rights.
STOP! STOP RUNNING!
