Last week, the Puma family visited Station 2/14 (Purcellville) to thank the crews. EMS602’s Cpt. Young was the paramedic who delivered the baby, & they chose to name their daughter the feminine version of one of his names, a name that was already one of their top two choices. ⬇️

βœ… Keep a safe distance from the edge.
βœ… Supervise children & pets outdoors.
βœ… Call 911 in an emergency: If someone falls through, do not attempt a rescue yourself. Our crews have the proper equipment & training to respond safely.

‼️ Today’s warmer weather is a welcome change from the freezing temps recently, but it also means changing conditions on ponds & other bodies of water. Ice that may have looked solid a few days ago can quickly become thin, brittle, & extremely dangerous.
