Calvin and Hobbes panel: Calvin looks up at his dad, who is putting on a bike helmet and about to go on a ride
Calvin's dad: "Sure! 'Cyclists have a right to the road, too, you noisy, polluting, inconsiderate maniacs! I hope gas goes up to eight bucks a gallon!'"
His plans are measured in centuries

Cracked articles, honestly. The POV writings from individuals I hadn't listened to previously.

I only majored in it but yeah no real shock. I think maybe the most surprising thing is how much this president is ignoring any traditionally 'sound' advice. Like there's a reason we hadn't attacked Iran to this degree before (although they only responded like this due to previous attacks.)

In first, CIA acknowledges 1953 coup it backed to overthrow leader of Iran was undemocratic
While other American officials have made similar remarks in the past, the acknowledgment by the CIA in a podcast about the agencyβs history comes as much of its official history of the coup still rema...
I wonder what percentage of Americans knows that the CIA helped overthrow a democracy in Iran in 1953, installing a brutal dictator who tortured and murdered people. Republicans keep citing the 1979 Islamic Revolution as if that was the start of U.S.-Iran hostilities. Go back 26 years earlier.

The conversation parents don't want to have with their kids is that being gay is natural. Created in the image of God.
They want to state how gay people exist in terms of their religion. As unnatural. Sinners.
Seen in that light mainstream queer stories are very important.

It is like surprising the first time you see a stack of the creators own manga at their desk and then it never is again. How on earth could one person keep track of the details he puts in? Oh right Oda reads the fan wiki too lol

When Republicans insert complaints about regulations into the national discourse it only serves to undermine any aid to the ecology. Which also never helps citizens. We should all know what Love Canal is but most don't.

Tell him to shut up, Steve-O. Tell him he's spouting the same boring angry shit that only gets people hurt because it only provokes fear. Rogan talking out his ass because he's afraid of feeling an ounce of compassion. God it sucks.

Looking at old art makes me feel like I've never been good or gotten better but I like this drawing a lot. The background is based on the placed I lived in back in 2006 in Kurihama. I guess I drew my first published comic at the kitchen table there.

My first show was ECCC 2007. It was in the parking garage of the baseball stadium and I could practically back my car up to my table. I only had a box of mini comics I'd spent a day making at a friends print shop. Tim Sale was next to me and his line encompassed me part of the first day.

I used to love doing conventions so much. Mostly I'd drive to Portland and Seattle but it really invigorated me creatively. I'm really bummed that new artists just don't have the ability to do them.

Take $1B away from the collective 900, that's $1.1M each that they would barely notice. Give it to 333,333 individuals as $3000 checks and that money goes into local economies instead of sitting doing nothing. It actually goes to taxes, actually lowers inflation.
