regarding lutris, do not use proton or even wine-staging, proton straight up doesn't launch and wine-staging is very clunky with pen pressure. Go with Wine 11.x (can be downloaded using ProtonPlus) instead as I have a better experience with it

there is a guide in WineHQ, I only tested v4.10 so Im not sure how older/newer versions will go

one thing is that I cannot recommend that you use Bottles Flatpak as it is VERY slow at loading things, go with non-flatpak lutris or winetricks instead.
