We're hiring a Brand Designer @planetscale.com. This is a really fun role and you'd have a huge impact. DM me with any questions or apply here: job-boards.greenhouse.io/planetscale/... #designsky

woo, congrats, Jonas!!
dang, that sounds bad; yeah, feel free to send it over my way either here or through DMs!
looking into it!
yeah, totally! any pain point or awkward corner of the product that you bump into would be really helpful for me! big big fan of everything you do as well! lost some good hours on your site already 😄
thanks for the feedback! lots of very relevant points and we're discussing them all internally. in the meantime, i just pushed a change to the keystroke search UX to make it work more intuitively — github.com/zed-industri... — i think that was the reason you didn't get any matches for your search...
yes! just add your AGENTS.md file at the top-level in your project and it will be automatically added in-between the system prompt and your message
nice! curious to try that, too!
a big pet peeve for me is when folks start using the term "final design" too much, particularly expecting that to mean a Figma link.
static images are very distant from the final product, and expecting the designer's work to mostly end there is very short sighted.
debug_bg_cyan comes naturally out of my fingers these days 😅
two bangers on this week's Joy & Curiosity imo: "Be Kind" and "Burn Your Title". two posts that came in super timely for me right now; you should read'em!

new post with Sunday thoughts about minimalism and a tiny little example from @zed.dev's new Agent Panel coming very, very soon!

Published the ASCII illustration tool I've been working on for
@oxide.computer (mitos.shared.oxide.computer) and it's even open-source: github.com/oxidecompute...
woo, glad you're digging it! love everything Piccalilli, so this is exciting to hear!
this has been in the works for months... and it is finally getting close to seeing the light of a fresh release.
join in if you're curious about the new phase of AI on Zed!
♥️
go try @zed.dev's Edit Prediction in subtle mode now that it has hit stable & let me know what you think! always open for feedback 🙂
woo, glad this resonated! curious to see how it feels for you in the long run ☺️
we have folks asking for an even subtler approach where we don't show anything at all, but predictions are there available in the background if you hit the keybinding. we might try that next!
top 5 feelings in life is discovering a new song that you just want to listen non-stop for the entire day.
i always get concerned about running out of them, but similarly happy when i eventually discover one that really sticks!
it just happened 🥲
there's no button yet, but if you alt/option click on a directory, it will collapse it and all folders inside of it :)
parzer em ve-lo por aqui, meu velho!
and for everyone who's asking about the AI side of the world in Zed... very cool stuff in the oven coming soon!
exciting new release! for a few months now, i have been saying here and there: "Git is coming!" and it's finally here. the team nailed it all!
also check out the sweet page we did to promote it, with some niceties such as a UI breakdown section!

one of the things I appreciated the most out of read.cv was how high quality their job board was. as they wind down, it felt like there'd be a gap.
so, @vzanivan.com & I build a lil thing: roles.at — a new, cozy place to which you can add (or migrate) your open role!
open for feedback!
i'd totally frame one of these!
I was just about to do the same after Lynch so sadly passed! Every Twin Peaks rewatch feels like coming back home 😊
wise words!
kicking off the day with with a record that i haven't listened for ages! creative, technical, intricate, melodic... a complete package. favorite track by far is "Sun Of Nothing"
i'm particularly psyched about this new interaction we put together to make LSP-based completions integrate well with LLM-generated suggestions. all of that without hurting the baseline editor experience. might definitely write more about this and all the iterations we went through!
