A bit of news from this City Council hearing: Simone Hawkins, deputy chancellor for early childhood education at DOE, says 2-Care *is* expected to be full day/extended day, meaning it would go until 5 or 6pm and would not end around 2:30pm like 3k/preK.
Full day universal childcare for 2 year olds in the next 4 years is actual life-changing, family-changing policy. I (almost!!) can't believe it.
