First page of BurnedCoffee's 'Tales from the Labyrinth Planet'. A lone astronaut walks on an empty planet followed by a small robot. They are walking towards a brght stone that portrudes from the ground. The computer's voice pops in: 'Approaching source vein directly 12 meeters ahead. Alert! Comms signal weakening.' The astronaut replies 'Just arrived to the site. Nem-00. Heh! The mother of all the loads.' The computer's signal starts breaking down 'Coos Signal unsta-RRRPR-ositioning 20 minuZZZto reZZT---cnct-' The astronaut reaches for their helmet, replying to the robot 'Sigh. ...sure thing, buddy. See you on the flip side, I guess.' Then they narrate for themselves 'It was a known tragedy that when humanity finally went into space it did so to raise stock value for shareholders. Still, mankind survives, hoping to one day escape the cage it built for itself. Lightyears away from earth, the planet 13-ZKY45 is the latest target for space fracking, one more link on the long chain of exploitation. Especially after the recent discovery of a new energy storing mineral called 'Labyrinthium'.' The astronaut, with their helmet off, looks down despondently, having also shed the top of their suit. They think 'Alone. Again.' and walk towards the shining stone, helmet in hand, followed by the small robot.

Jules, Nibs and Tip walk away through the tiny city. Jules asks 'How are we going to get out of here?', and Nibs complains 'All the boats are smaller than toys.' They all notice their boat in the harbour, surrounded by the tiny Lilliput boats. Their boat seems to have grown wings now. Nibs is surprised 'Is that the boat?', and Jules is enchanted 'The little wings are so cute!' Tip, however, is not paying attention yet. 'Wait, you bathe?', thy ask.

damnn! sucks that such a good movie like "Hoppers" has to be at the behest of such a loser that says shit like this and only serves to suck disney's toes.

WHEREAS injuries and deaths on BC roads have untold impacts on thousands of BC lives every year, strain local government first responder resources, and result in more than $500 Million in direct health care costs in British Columbia every year; and WHEREAS the Province’s BC Road Safety Strategy has referenced a Vision Zero approach to road safety starting with the belief that no loss of life on our roads is acceptable and implementing a collaborative Safe System Approach to road safety relying proactive data collection and sharing as the globally recognized path to achieving Vision Zero; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of New Westminster submit a resolution to the Lower Mainland Local Government Association calling on UBCM to request the Province to advance its commitment to Vision Zero and further support local government partners through: expansion of the Vision Zero Road Safety Grant program by providing additional funding to introduce a third funding stream with a cap higher than the current $20,000 limit to fund more ambitious local government and First Nation community road safety initiatives; and undertaking a comprehensive review of data collected by provincial ministries and agencies in relation to motor vehicle injury and death incidents, and develop strategies for proactive data sharing between those agencies and local governments to inform local road safety improvements.

I am here to speak on Official Community Plan updates, and I support adopting the proposed bylaws. This update is giving the future generation of New West options in housing, where it doesn't always have to be condos or single-family homes, with SFH being the most expensive form of housing out there. I am in my 20s, and none of my peers even consider single family home to be an option because it is so out of reach. If we want a New Westminster where everyone can find themselves a home, the status quo is not ok. It is about planning for the future where everyone has a home in New Westminster, where we have access to services we need by public transit. Building affordable housing in TOAs means not only delivering housing affordability but also affordability in mobility. Good access to public transit with affordable housing creates the synergy for affordability, where residents are given the option to use public transit instead of single occupancy vehicle. This is a great step towards tackling housing, affordability, and sustainability. We say we want more affordable housing, yet affordable non-market projects face just as much red tape and hurdles to overcome as the market projects. It is great to see the removal of regulatory barriers to build 6-storey non-profit housing in some parts of the city, but this should be expanded to the entire city. Allowing such projects only in certain area of the city creates divisiveness in the city rather than fostering inclusive community where people of all backgrounds live together. Again, I support the adoption of the bylaws. Thank you so much for the opportunity to speak.
