Yeah... So that was a bust. The system works just fine, but not in the way that I want it to. And my "vision" for it is way too complicated. But at least I made some nice UI. ๐คท

Yeah, it does. But apparently they removed the ability to use a predefined enum in the export, so you'd have to type out the enum twice.
And I don't think I'd ever make a game that called for the use of bitflags -- I doubt my little card games would ever be so robust. I just think they seem neat.
I've been working on this system using utility as a basis. But now that I'm fleshing it out, I'm thinking that I may need to invert the whole thing in order to fit what I'm trying to do.
But I don't have the mental capacity for that right now, so...

While I do want to make some changes (read: do some scope creep), I have all of the UI needed to display the data.
Now it's time to figure out how to generate the data.

Oh, UI is hard for me, too. I generally have no idea what I'm doing. That's why I usually spend hours finding and studying inspiration before I start.
Me, working on this prototype: "Since I'm getting sleepy, I'll just work on UI tonight, and start on the hard/fun parts tomorrow with fresh eyes."
Also me: "How the fuck is it already 0400!?!?!"

Right?! There are so many things I want to try to make, just because they look cool and fun to play.
That's what I usually end up doing -- for better, or for worse. ๐
I would if I could, but my games are all, like, 98% UI. And I want to get better at it, so...
But wiring all of it up is very, very annoying.
There are many times when I'll look at a game and think, "How did you do that? I want to figure out how to do that, too!" And then I end up with a new project that will end up collecting dust.
And it's about to happen again! ๐
