I react like the aliens from Blindsight whenever I come across LLM-written text.

Our job is to make it hard for them to isolate out individuals and small groups that they can demonize. Our job is to support the people in these edge cases. Because every bit of pushback they receive makes it harder for them to move onto the next people they'd like to target.
LOW DIVORCE RATES DON'T INDICATE GOOD MARRIAGES:
THEY REFLECT WOMEN'S DISCOURAGEMENT FROM FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE AND PRESSURE TO REMAIN IN UNHAPPY UNIONS.
I feel like it should be more widely unpopular that in the past year we’ve witnessed the creation of an American Stasi required to meet arrest quotas who utilize an AI technology created by a company run by a sweaty raisin of a billionaire who thinks Greta Thunberg is the antichrist.
It is very easy to read statements like this as a joke.
This is not a joke.
We have proven with AI, completely by accident, what knowledgeable people have been saying for decades: the environment that rich people live in gives them a very specific personality disorder.
I wrote about a company that had bad vibes from the jump

Reading My Secret Garden would make half of the people on here become ICE agents.

Get family and friends involved. Explain the stakes in clear terms.
I got 'em off the plan and gave them burgers and took em on a 40 minute walk in the rain next to the beach let's fucking go
Pretty crazy how important the blockade of a trade route is right now
bluesky is where it is today solely on the efforts of the courageous artists drawing the horniest gay art ever to grace a timeline 🫡
I don't think those commenters are watching TV the right way

A screenshot of a discord chat post. In November of the year 2021, user Vaporeon said, "everything in this state is sopping fucking wet" and then a moment later she said "how do you live like this"
It is almost time again to subject @trulyavaporeon.bsky.social to The Weather Where I Live. I'll always cherish this old reaction from years ago
If hormones, or puberty blockers, were so dangerous, nobody would be allowed them.
That some people are and that trans kids can even, notionally at least, stay on them if already prescribed, tells you all you need to know.
No one could explain to me why I was supposed to take what they said seriously. No one could prove shit. I figured out God was fake before I figured out Santa was fake because at least Santa gave presents.
I'm so happy for you
Absolutely hilarious that the plot of Pokopia is just the Command and Conquer going to the one place untouched by capitalism thing
I just want to see how people react when they think I've got one on me
More importantly, the war we saw was the war as media spectacle, with real-time missile cam footage, sanitized news briefings, and carefully controlled information. It was designed to be consumed rather than experienced, which is where digital technology and photography come in. If war is something we only engage with through screens, images, and curated narratives, then it becomes more simulation than reality. That's Baudrillard's whole point-modern war is structured not around battle, but around perception.
_The Gulf War Did Not Take Place_ seems especially relevant right now. i can’t help but feel like Baudrillard is the post-modernist who most understood where our world was going, and has ultimately been proven right.

a brief summation of the point he made:
Not sure, it's the kind of ongoing, frustrating pains that shows up in a lot of King's stuff. Dark Tower has an infected wound subplot, Misery has the broken bones and painkillers thing. I think that the way that people change after being in pain for a while makes it easier for make a horror story?
They should make earrings, nose piercings, etc. that look like realistic, live ticks.
This was my grandfather's favorite book. When he developed memory problems, my dad and his brother would take turns reading this to their dad.
Yeah, as long as you have a pokemon for every ability it demands.
I made piplup a shower and then I went to show it to piplup and when we got back to the shower, prinplup was already using it.
I put peakychu to work building houses. I felt bad about it but I keep catching it slacking on the job which is even funnier
