I’m deeply grateful to our district leaders for their support and their partnership in this fight to elect better Democrats.

The @workingfamilies.org is my political home because it is the party that is built for and by working people. We face a dire time in our country…and we need fighters right now in Albany, not the status quo. I am honored to receive the endorsement of the @nywfp.bsky.social .
A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.
This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.
Not one dime for this cruelty.

February 5th and 6th, 2026: What a whirlwind New York State Democratic Party State Convention in Syracuse, New York 💙🤍 So proud of my Progressive Caucus colleagues for addressing the State Committee body at the Thursday evening receptions as well as the Friday morning and afternoon sessions on the convention floor! We advocated for staying firm in fighting for bottom-up, participatory democracy, addressing the pressing needs of working families, and protecting the rights of our immigrant neighbors ✊🏼💪🏼🗽🇺🇲 Special shout out to @johnscottforqueens @juliopenany and @brianr4ny for co-authoring and lobbying for unanimous passage of the Democratic State Committee resolution calling for the restraining of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and reaffirming our support for the New York for All Act (NY4A) 👏🏼👏🏼 Before setting off for the long drive back to NYC through hazardous wintry conditions ❄️🌬, @carokorth @johnscottforqueens and I made a quick visit to the @aero_destinyusa mall for snacks, sweet treats, and shopping (fun fact: at 1.8 million square feet, Destiny USA Mall is the 8th largest mall in the country and 11th largest mall in the 🌐) 🌭🍦🥮 We NYC kids couldn't resist a real American mall 😜 #democracy #TaxTheRich #NewYorkForAll
Special shout out to John Scott, @juliopenabk.com and @brianrny.bsky.social for co-authoring/lobbying for unanimous passage of the SC resolution calling for the restraining of ICE and reaffirming our support for the New York for All Act (NY4A) 👏🏼👏🏼

For state committee in Assembly District 51, we enthusiastically endorse Jacqui Painter for reelection!
Alongside @juliopenabk.com, she's given so much of her time and energy to making the Democratic Party more inclusive of and accessible to everyday Brooklynites.
Graphic with text: New Kings Democrats endorse Julio Peña III, State Committee, Assembly District 51
NKD endorses @juliopenabk.com for reelection as Democratic State Committee Member in Assembly District 51!
Julio is a strong voice for making the BK Dems more transparent, inclusive, and accountable. Reelecting Julio and a majority of allies in other districts is how we win a better party.
What 2025 has taught me:
Joy is resistance.
Representation matters.
Live in the moment.
Live with integrity.
I am resilient.
Prepared for 2026 and all that they bring 🧡.
Brad is a proud partner and champion for the NYWFP. We are proud to be Day-One endorsers of his campaign. He has been a leader for all NYers, fought for paid sick leave, and shepherded one of the largest affordable housing projects in years. We’re all in on @bradlander.bsky.social for NY-10
Hi @schumer.senate.gov and @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social! If you vote for this horrible deal, I will spend the next 4 years making sure you are both primaried and retired from the US Senate.
So Democrats get:
1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays
2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail
3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts
Those all seem like wins for the GOP.
"The bottom line: After a weekend of frequent phone calls among centrist senators, Democrats appeared ready to claim victory and end the shutdown. "What they've been saying for a month is 'We won't negotiate with you at all,'" Coons told us. "That's clearly a position they've moved away from." The gist: A handful of Democrats will supply some eight votes for a new short-term CR in exchange for a promised vote on the ACA tax credits."
This is pathetic - to give in over "a promised vote" - but this is what they were always going to do.
"A handful of Democrats will supply some eight votes for a new short-term CR in exchange for a promised vote on the ACA tax credits."
They are gonna trust the GOP.🤡

In honor of Columbus Day, I have discovered the rich and fertile land of Sunset Park and have now claimed it for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Doei!
Julio Peña, Brad Lander, Alexa Avilés, Andrew Gounardes, and Andrew Gounardes' young boys pose for the camera before the Stand Against ICE march in Sunset Park.
Some more electeds who came out for the #StandAgainstICE march in Sunset Park. @juliopenabk.com @bradlander.bsky.social @cmalexaaviles.bsky.social @agounardes.bsky.social (with tots).
This is as huge a scandal & blunder as this chaotic Administration has seen.
The person who should be called to answer for it is Secy Kristi Noem. When a woman who loves the camera as much as Noem is nowhere to be seen for 10 days it’s b/c she’s hiding out. Media should be all over this.
The Land Before Time is on Netflix and I’m not sure if I want to relive my childhood trauma.
New: Winnie Greco and Robin Mui, two controversial allies to Mayor Adams who have ties to the Chinese government, helped coordinate the reelection campaign kickoff rally he's throwing at City Hall today, according to sources familiar with the matter. www.nydailynews.com/2025/06/26/f...
Voting for Andrew Cuomo is teaching my nephews that it’s okay to harass women, teaching my niece it’s okay for men to harass her, and that those men will be rewarded. Don’t Rank Andrew Cuomo today. 🧡
Literally, every conversation I’m having, I am ending it with “Don’t Rank Andrew Cuomo”. 💅🏽
When we called out @mayaforcouncil.bsky.social for running a campaign on MAGA $, she called us "an outside group." We've been organizing in BK for 8.5 yrs. And now it turns out that Maya didn't even register to vote here until 2022! See 👇 👇

I don’t know every name here but every name I do know is the sort of Machine Democrat who’s to blame for NY politics. Folks like lead paint defender Erik Dilan. Stay involved in NYC politics, folks being checked out is how they get away with poison.
The fact that the government condones masked officers but wants to criminalize people peacefully protesting is disgusting. If you’re going to have the gall to arrest US citizens, show your fucking face
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.
BEYER: Isn't this embarrassing?
BESSENT: You seem not to have seen the economic data. GDP growth has been quite substantial
BEYER: GDP growth is half what it was last year, sir

Had a blast knocking on doors for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and @cmalexaaviles.bsky.social today in Sunset Park! It becomes more evident every day how important it is to have a mayor who actually stands up for our communities and how much we don't have one now.
LID members and Assemblymember Marcela Mitaynes getting ready to canvass in Sunset Park for Zohran Mamdani and Alexa Aviles.
LID members and friends from DSA getting ready to canvass in Sunset Park for Alexa Aviles and Zohran Mamdani.
Had a great day knocking on doors for @cmalexaaviles.bsky.social and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social in Sunset Park! Rain didn't stop us from getting out the word about these progressive champions. Great to have Assemblymember Marcela Mitaynes join us!
This is patriotism. ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
I’m not backing a candidate yet and I think a healthy primary would be good for New York; that being said, we have too much at stake to just blindly support incumbents.
EXCLUSIVE: Antonio Delgado will challenge Kathy Hochul in the Democratic Primary for governor. “People are hurting and New York deserves better leadership,” Mr. Delgado said in an interview. “There’s an absence of bold, decisive, transformational leadership.” www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/n...
The first day of June, the start of Pride Month, in the year of Cher and I have to still walk around with a sweater? Homophobic.
