Hunter X Hunter
Hunter X Hunter
It's a fascinating book and one of the key inspirations for the musical Into The Woods
Fascinating to look at how Moore's idea of a totalitarian future fits the modern world, IE the cameras everywhere

Plasterwork of a skeleton blowing bubbles set against a pale blue wall.
I am so, so tired. And I know you are, too.
Here's “Death blowing bubbles,” 18th century. The bubbles symbolize life's fragility. This plaster work appears on the ceiling of Holy Grave Chapel in Michaelsberg Abbey, Bamberg, Germany. After the monastery’s dissolution, it became a hospital.

Just read Attaboy, extremely cool comic done in the style of the instruction manual for an imagined Mega Man style videogame
Write new worlds. Write beautiful places. Write angry people. Write imaginary beasts, futile quests, broken hearts, lifelong injustices, mysteries, love affairs, lost children, newfound purpose. Write anything that allows you to escape or heal or vent or rage or explore or reconcile. Write 🖤
Loving the new season of Castlevania, the French revolution is the perfect setting - this time, the aristocrats are literal vampires
The grapes are a nice touch
Conclave was amazing, but lost opportunity to call it "St Paul's Drag Race"

When government buildings go hard - old gov printer building in Brisbane has Satan over the entrance
I'm visiting Brisbane this weekend to collect some books in storage.
Turns out Lifeline Book Fair is the same weekend.
Chance to do the funniest thing ever.
I hear fish are a great source of dietary iron...
You did it to yourself. "Eat my words? Why would I do that when I can eat someone else's?" Then you proceeded to eat several first edition books with emerald green covers. It was not a fast death, and tbh you really made it weird
I'm ready
I've heard that book is great but I'm staying away from it until I've finished my story so I'm not too influenced - I'll pass my story to you when I'm done!
It's hard to get creative time motivation after a day at work - but every little bit helps, so about to do an hour on my latest story - on the enchantress Circe
Finished Penny Blood: Hellbound yesterday - a bit rough but a fun Hades clone. I love the Shadow Hearts games on PS2, and this new franchise from some of the original creators is a welcome return to that unique gothic/goofy tone.
As a teenager I was a huge fan of Grant Morrison's surreal superhero series Doom Patrol - so much so that when it got a big budget TV series, I waited until it finished so I could properly savour it. I'm now a bit into season two and it's brilliant - mainly because of the magnificent actors.
