The amount of times a doctor made an incredulous face and corrected me when I said my pain was “maybe a 3…” with “No, it’s definitely higher than that?” Many. It’s many times. 🤷‍♀️ I have no idea what living without pain feels like anymore, so my baseline is waaaaay off.

Fidget: can’t stop pestering his desk neighbors to talk and play during class

Sploot: Got distracted by a bug at recess and was late coming inside even though his name was called multiple times

Tinker: yelled in the teacher’s face and then slept on his desk the rest of the day

So frustrating and scary! Sometimes I couldn’t remember a long-time friend’s name for a few seconds. It feels like reality itself is breaking down in those moments. I’m sorry you’re dealing with such a big version of this. May you get answers and healing quickly!!! 🤞🤞🤞

🤞🤞 Curious if the memory issue is only speaking or also writing. I had a bad concussion that messed with my ability to remember words when speaking, but not when writing. Got better, but the fibromyalgia brain fog sometimes brings it back a bit. Brains are weird. Hope yours gets a little less weird!

Mine too! It’s their first house, so I thought once they figured out you can get wet in there, they’d stop. Nope. If I leave the door open when I shower, one will walk on in to see what I’m doing. Was fine until I hit 1200. If my husband wasn’t asleep next to me and I could’ve read it out loud, maybe could’ve parsed it 50-75% of it. I did have to do that with Chaucer in school and could follow if I could speak it, but that was 2+ decades ago so… 😅

After my cat was dx with hyperthyroidism, insurance rate doubled. Kept it in case we did the radiation route, but he got cancer and passed before we could. They paid, but spent a lot of time trying to prove the cancer was a pre-existing condition, and therefore not covered. Dropped it after that.

It’s my first night away since we got Fidget and Sploot. (Writing retreat.) When I texted home, husband told me Fidget has already been using his speech buttons to ask for me and he’s had to tell him “S.R. home later later later.” And oh my heart 🥰

What about taking time to smell the fluffy tail? Tinker takes every opportunity he can get to smell Sploot’s very fluffy tail. Sploot doesn’t have stirup pants though. He has capri pants.

During my license test, the DMV guy almost failed me because he told me to turn right at a stop sign and I instead put on my left signal and turned left. I convinced him to pass me since I didn’t disobey any traffic laws, did a perfect left turn. I just mixed up directions because I was nervous. 😅

We got it up in WA too. Our power went out but the generator kicked in. All the cats were glad because it means their warming beds stay warm. I need to get one for my feet, I think 😅

Same. I really don’t understand how some of my relatives haven’t found the exit. Some strike me as very curious, but maybe it’s the difference between curiosity and scholarship? Or broad-spectrum curiosity vs. specialized interests. 🤔

Just had a call with a new pain mgmt doc today. He was shockingly fantastic. Like he apologized for all the gaslighting and general dismissiveness I’ve faced for decades and validated my pain, the methods I developed on my own to deal with it, and was actually kind. He must have chronic pain too 😏

😂 Tinker is 12 and firmly entered his “old man shakes fist at clouds” era when the youngsters got here.

Fidget is 2 and that’s STILL how his speed settings work most of the time. The iPad birds help though! 😂 Sploot was mellow at 9mo, but still got into mischief with Fidget when it suited him. Patches sounds like a dream and my heart is so happy you’re helping him!

Aw, so sweet! And his pretty eyes! Patches! 🥰 One of mine has a very gravely purr that starts and stops. I always wonder if it’s due to a bad respiratory virus he had as a kitten. His bro still gets boogers because of it, but purrs normally. After Tinker caught it, his purr changed a little too.

Oof. After the 💩 show of a city council meeting I just went to, def needed this. My nervous system is all discombobulated. Just fascists and their power-hungry enablers ignoring the will of the people because they think they can get away with it. Gonna need to watch this emergency kitten again. 😅
