Hey Colorado,
In today's wastewater data, there's a SHARP uptick in RSV & COVID, that is not (as of yet) reflected in the trends.
COVID is back up near our winter peak, RSV is the highest all season.
While this is partial data, it's concerning enough that I wanted to highlight.
Two, possibly 3 more measles cases in the Broomfield outbreak:
To sum it all up:
The overall picture looks much better this week.
RSV is finally dropping, Flu B climbs but Flu overall is dropping. COVID is dropping.
RSV remains near peak levels, so please watch out, especially for little ones who are most vulnerable.
It looks more likely that we will match/surpass last season's record breaking number of hospital admissions for flu. π
We are only 425 admissions behind last year's record, and adding over 100 admissions per week, with Flu B still climbing & 10 weeks left in the "flu season".
The wastewater picture looks pretty good too, though RSV and Flu B are being detected in most utilities. overall levels are dropping and most utilities are in "steady decrease".
It is nice to see a drop in Flu B levels.
Measles is not detected in any of the Sentinel sites.
In Pediatric Patients At Children's Hospital associated facilities, RSV is dropping but Flu B positive specimens continue to climb, though the rise has flattened significantly.
While there are good signs generally for Flu, Flu B positivity is still rising, further indicating Flu B has likely not peaked.
Hospital Admissions (comparing to initial #s for last week)
Covid: 66, down from 72 last week.
Flu: 110, down from 141
RSV: 277, down from 325
Flu B remains the predominant Flu variant circulating, Flu A is causing almost no hospital admissions at this point.
COVID, Flu & RSV in Colorado update, 3/11/26
Finally, some good news.
RSV finally begins dipping.
Flu hospitalizations dip slightly, as Flu A cases virtually disappear, and the Flu B wave grows.
Covid dips further.
A useful tool here for Colorado families:
Check MMR vaccination rates for CO schools, preschools and child care facilities

She went on vacation to one of the most historically politically engaged and contentious areas to βrelax and get away from all thatβ?!? lol. Thats just ignorance.
Absolutely bananas. Im so sorry you have to navigate this
Measles in colorado continues to climb: 4 more cases tied to the Broomfield outbreak
To sum it all up,
RSV is high & Flu B is rising.
Broomfield has a Measles outbreak, affecting 2 schools.
Early Measles symptoms resemble flu. Please stay home/mask up if symptomatic.
Consider seeking vaccination if undervaccinated.
Masks are helpful against Measles!
There is no change in the detection status of Mpox in wastewater, but 2 new Mpox cases have added in the last week.
There is no Measles being detected in Colorado wastewater at this time, but the utilities serving the affected area are no longer part of the Sentinel Surveillance system (Broomfield, Louisville, South Adams). These utilities were part of the Lab phase 1 surveillance program.
CDPHE reports a 3rd measles case associated with the Broomfield high case, this one in a child who apparently attends Broomfield Heights Middle School.
With 3 connected cases, this is officially an outbreak.
These exposures seem to be the earliest thus far, making this case 1.
Flu B levels are particularly high, with 8 utilities above median levels, and Boulder levels so high they are off the chart.
Durango, Fort Collins, and Greeley are all also particularly high.
The wastewater data is mixed, with COVID trends dropping, but levels climbing this week.
Flu B and RSV in wastewater are at nearly season-long highs.
Pediatric Flu Hospitalizations remain elevated, and RSV hospitalizations climb.
Children's Hospital's Bugwatch reports slight dips in pediatric positive specimens in their patients.
Flu Positivity and RSV are climbing, with no sign of slowing.
Flu B Positivity is driving the increase in overall Flu Positivity.
Hospital Admissions (comparing to initial #s for last week)
Covid: 72, down from 89 last week.
Flu: 141, up from 133
RSV: 325, up from 301
Flu B is now the predominant Flu variant circulating, and flu admissions have stopped sliding as Flu B surges.
COVID, Flu & RSV in Colorado update, 3/4/26
RSV continues to climb.
Flu hospitalizations climb slightly as a Flu B wave grows. Covid dips slightly.
Measles cases grow and the first outbreak of 2026 is confirmed.
Holy moly.
It really is. I dont think this person was infected by the last case. I think they were both infected by someone else who hasnt been identified yet (due to the timingβ¦). Which means there may be a bunch more coming soon. π
Another #measles case at Broomfield HS just outside Denver.
Youβre a washington guy, how will your experience in washington help you protect Colorado from the worst impulses of the current administration?
Yeah. Its not feeling great here ππππ
Omg. We can also add an outbreak of Legionnaires:
