People who don’t know information are ignorant and, from this ignorance, can think foolishly. But this becomes stupidity when rejecting offered evidence that could remove their ignorance. And even more foolish than that is being proud of not wanting to learn and staying ignorant.

People do what you pay them to do.
You pay corporate executives to make stock prices go up, not to make better products.
You pay politicians to get re-elected, not to govern well.
You pay reporters to get a bigger audience, not to tell the truth.
