I hate Oliver Stoneโs THE DOORS (1991). I love Oliver Stoneโs THE DOORS (1991). These are both the same thing. www.vulture.com/article/is-o...
cool
i gotz a blu ray
cool
blu ray cheaper
also 4K is rife with problems (bad "restorations") and also 4K for older movies is useless and also I don't have a 4K player
Modern movies with their green screens and CGIโthey sure donโt make movies FOR REAL anymore like โThe African Queenโ (1951) which was shot in Africa (and in LA and UK, on stages and water tanks, rear projection, blue screen composites, optically composited insects, stock footage and miniatures).
i just bought "Blown Away" (1994) on Blu-ray not because it's a great movie (or even good) but because of that incredible, kick ass explosion at the end
I updated my blog post to include your video:

This video does a great job of helping folks understand the reasons why you would use process/greenscreen/LED walls for certain shots and shoot on location for other certain shots in a sequence, with an angle on stunts and action. Extremely well done.

This video is TERRIFIC
From the Rambo (2008) Wikipedia page: Post-production John Rambo was the original working title for the film but was changed in the US because Stallone thought that audiences might think that this is the final film in the Rambo series, due to the then recently released Rocky Balboa (2006), which was not his original intent. In many other countries, the title John Rambo is used because the first Rambo film First Blood was known as Rambo in those countries. The film premiered on US television as Rambo, but the title sequence referred to it as John Rambo.
I couldโve sworn โJohn Ramboโ was the title of the 2008 movieโฆ and I was right, it was! And it was wasnโt! Itโs Schrodingerโs Stallone Title!

I read the piece again and became even more disappointed.
2026: "Docter said Pixar found some parents didnโt want entertainment to force them to have a conversation they werenโt ready for with their children. โWeโre making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy,โ he said."
2009:
i did this on my iPhone last night while I was falling asleep on the couch and i regret nothing

epic levels of sanewashing
A hoppers movie poster
maybe I should go to bed
Very unrealistic not to show Ray in the gym for five hours each day.

็ฎ TheCybersmith @thecybersmith.bsk... โข 2h โข Joined May '23 Huh. The film's treatment of Lincoln is surprisingly sympathetic. I think I can see what Griffith was going for, but some of the choices he made really detract from the more nuanced ideas he wanted to put across (why do the black characters speak like that?) 031 04 TheCybersmith @thecybersmith.bsky.social โข Joined May '23 THAT'S NOT A TRIAL!
