I am in Vancouver at ICML, and tomorrow I will present our newest paper "Partially Observable Reinforcement Learning with Memory Traces". We argue that eligibility traces are more effective than sliding windows as a memory mechanism for RL in POMDPs. 🧵

Leif Döring (www.wim.uni-mannheim.de/doering/team...) is a professor at the University of Mannheim, working on stochastic processes, theory and applications. His research currently focuses on RL problems. He won awards for both his research and teaching and co-founded two startups
