Really seems like just regarding them as pathetic and ignoring them (which is a perfectly reasonable response in normal times) isn't working.
There really needs to be a 'real men aren't terrified of women and don't need to control them' movement to counter this radical wierdness, but it probably hasn't taken off bc it's hard to motivate people to advocate for what is simply a normal, background position.
