CRUSH THE WORLD
CRUSH THE WORLD
I can just about guarantee that any art that has a passionate fanbase of a few hundred people is superior in most every way to any piece of art that is popular and successful but not particularly beloved (except by undiscerning "consumers")
Iβm honestly shocked theyβre revisiting Onimusha. Still no word on Darkstalkers, Tech Romancer, and Breath of Fire, sadly
I've never been on the SWE side of things, but FOSS and Linux are the foundation of modern computing. Gotta hope those bonus checks he's getting pushed his way are worth this extreme degree of hyperbole.
Hey, Iβm starting up an anti-algorithm music site, if that sounds like something youβre into then check it out. Thanks!

Just simmering in the pot at this point
Man, looking for extra work in this market is a bloodbath. If you or anyone you know is in the market for a contributing writer, don't hesitate to give me a look. I have flexible rates, an absurdly efficient work ethic, and I don't use LLMs to collate research or generate text. Somebody pay me, pls
Friendly reminder that I offer up affordable mastering services for all sorts of audio. Audiobook? Yes. Breakcore? Yes. And so forth. Trying to make up for some shortfalls going into March, and the more folks I can book, the better.
Shame this never got finished, seems like Fyodor was on one when he was drafting it.
If you're on the hunt for audio that sounds nice without having to pay a princely sum to get your stuff mixed or mastered, please hit me up. Currently trying to make up for a gap in my clients from my freelancing writing gig, and you're patronage is always appreciated.
But replicators from Star Trek sounds way cooler
The Muppet Christmas Carol remains the undisputed king of family Christmas movies
New Music
NEVER DID EXIST
thanks @bytemapper.bsky.social for mastering again

Is what it is, economy just seems to be trending that way
Additionally, I know begging is tacky, but I am a content strategist with five years of experience writing, editing, and so forth. If you know someone or you're after someone who needs real, human content for an affordable price, lemme know.
Woke up this morning to find out I am taking a substantial paycut. As such, if you are in need of mixing and mastering for affordable rates, please contact me. Currently, I'm like $1800 a month short of where I should be just to keep my kids fed and the lights on.
Incredible
Thinking back to my college bio teacher being presented with a packet of paper from a classmate refuting climate change, taking a single glance at the author, and telling my classmate to leave the lecture room. I only wish to channel that sort of energy in my 50s.
Might be one of those Apple only things. I legit subbed solely for lossless streaming so I could get snobby about old jazz recordings.
I switched services to Apple Music recently and ended up listening to Rumours like another 5 times because of the Atmos remaster on the service. Pretty slick work all done, the vocal harmonies in particular are insane on Dreams and The Chain.
Nope, but the spatialization nonsense on the Rumours remaster has me wanting to try it for the sake of it
God help me, I'm debating scrapping work on my current EP's stereo masters to pursue Atmos
Ah man, I havenβt thought about Stigmata in years. But I feel you there, certainly cast a pall across the Christmas season too
I've noticed this year that my enthusiasm for Halloween is nonexistent. My nightly viewing has gone from schlock horror films to lighthearted British comedy quiz shows.
Worth it just for comfy gaming on the couch, the music stuff is just icing on the cake
Looks like a wee Switch adapter with a pair of USB ports is like 10 bucks and is Deck compatible, time to start piecing things together.
Oh nice, perfect for sampling general MIDI from my TG-55 and D-110. Gotta get that GBA vibe going somehow.
That ain't bad at all, I've got scads of 32GB and 64GB micro SD cards lying around from when I still used Android devices. Time to get to researching, wife will likely be more than happy to discover I'm not after a used Digitakt or something now.
Teensy into the Steam Deck? I was on a hardware buying pause, but if this is viable and does MIDI out I might consider it for myself
Sound design, easily. When it hits the tape deck and everything suddenly sounds real is a close second tho
