Anyone have alternatives to The New Stack? Iβve about had it with the posts becoming click bait and filler content but the final straw has been the links going to the wrong content.
Better options?

Just another traveler on the space-time continuum. Collector of degrees, certifications, and awards. Love taking things apart (i.e. figure it out) and putting it back together (maybe in new/interesting ways). #PhD #CCNP #CCDNP #CKA #CKAD #CKS #Legos

Proud dad moment!
Daughter discovered potentially interesting new bacterium, and established new model organism (and protocols) in the lab.
Very cool opportunities at @ncstate.bsky.social with in-class studies as well as her undergraduate research.

Running into @petergjones.bsky.social at #CiscoLiveEMEA is always a treat, especially when you walk away with a switch (ASIC)!
Merry Christmas to all my friends, colleagues, and connected ones!
Iβm overseas and am waiting to watch it with my wife.
Canβt wait!
Screenshot of notice to travelers to the UK of an upcoming strike of doctors and to expect delays in receiving health care (urgent or otherwise)
A cautionary example - especially in light of the recent government shutdown in the U.S. - of the risks that come with government run health care.
The Rai train station?
Oh Matt, I am so terribly sorry to hear that.
Iβve only known her through her stickers and Twitter/BlueSky updates but she was such a kind and amazing pup.
May her memory be a blessing to us all.
And where is the moral outrage at what amounts to slave labor?
So hereβs the problem: if you compensate someone for 72 hrs/wk, then absolutely expect 72 hrs/wk.
The problem is thereβs a growing expectation by employers to just work more and not get an increase in pay.

Ok, in the rat race of 100 things to wrap up before vacay, stumbling across the Cookie Settings dialog on @jetbrains.com website was oddly refreshing. Nicely done.
Which totally defeats the point of me reading the BBC news: I am looking for international news which doesnβt get much, if any, air time in the US.
I donβt need the BBCβs echo chamber version of the USβs mass media outlets.
Having just traveled to London, I made an interesting observation: the BBC news app shows/headlines for more British news when Iβm in England, while flooding me with predominantly US news when Iβm home.
Perl - it had a good run, fueled the dot com boom and bust. But itβs time to retire because Python won.
And while TMTOWTDI is immensely flexible for the one writing the code, Guido van Rossum is right - Readability and maintainability are more important for code that matters.

Kick off session with panel discussion of product leaders.
So the implication is that only the best AI hackers will get the role, even if itβs for the building maintenance role.
Well said. I wish the ones that need to read this are actually paying attention instead of counting options.
Looking good Matt! Good on ya for sharing with the kids. I assume Aurora gets a share as well?
Finally got around to playing with watch faces. Calling this the beach vacation geek face.

This era of news and politics is all about shock and awe and outrage.
If you donβt actually read the source material for that news, you are likely misinformed.
For those who canβt be bothered with reading two whole pages, thereβs an FAQ.
