I’m looking for smaller book review accounts, on here, YouTube, Reddit, mainly. In the fantasy and sci-fi genres, speculative fiction and utopian works, welcoming to indie authors, and most of all: looking for those works that do not conform to recent patterns.

I guess, then you have to read in stereo: one book with the left eye, another with the right.

Excuse me. There is no editing the wrong way. If this process works for you, then this is your process.
I usually add 15-25% in my first edit. When drafting, I leave some things out to get the story line on paper.
Important is your process. Not opinions of others.

Our new washer and dryer feel more like a video game than appliances. Supposedly AI powered. Well, would be nice if they cleaned and dried laundry also. The first works ok. The latter is less hot more miss. But the sounds are good. Can’t have everything I guess.

Received our first energy bill of this year. Energy consumption YoY down to 93%. The improvements I started on the house paying off.
Cost increased YoY to 123%.
Absolute, not relative per unit cost.
I wish I could work 93% of the time for 123% of the pay.
But somehow, there is a disconnect. 🤔

Always fun getting the cleanup done. I already burned around 35 yards of slash from the work I did last fall in the last four weeks. So good when it’s cleaned up again…

I had a job once, and going through all the mandatory meetings and trainings, one stood out there.

The exit interview.

At least it was not news poisoning. That’s toxic stuff.

The fantasy books I’m writing are utopian. Most of the ideas and concepts rot about fifteen, twenty years ago.
Still, when I write, I escape into a world that has honor, ethics and pride. And most I’d ask purpose and hope for all.
I like dwelling there. And take my readers along for the experience.

I liked both posts. Does that count as two?

Same here, same here.
We have a couple wet days with a lot of rain, but over all it is too warm and too dry.

5 second rule for sure.
But I would be far more cautious because it landed sticky side up.
There must be some intelligence in that toast or the marmalade.
Before it fell.
I’d see that at far scarier.
