Half of Alberta's Turkish-made children's pain medication destroyed Looming expiration dates prompted the disposal of 700,000 bottles of Turkish-made children's pain medication before it could be donated.

Only half of Alberta’s surplus of ‘Turkish Tylenol’ ended up donated to Ukraine and other countries. The other 700,000 bottles were destroyed due to expiration dates. AHS said the surplus medication cost $478,000 to store between 2023 &2025 and destroying the medication cost a further $718,000.
