For example, the Staples Centre in LA was a landmark project for CBAs - signed in 2001, with community benefits valued at $150 million (double the value of the city subsidy for the project), it contained commitments on affordable housing, parks, local hiring, and living wages.

There is significant precedent for the inclusion of Community Benefits Agreements (CBAs) in the construction of major stadiums and entertainment venues. A new NHL stadium at Lebreton Flats could build opportunities for local economic development, social enterprise, good jobs, etc

Card with a forest in the background that reads, "A huge thank you to our beautiful community for your response to our recent fundraising campaign: we raised almost $13,000 for our tree program!"

The campaign to fund our tree program was a huge success: with the help of an anonymous matching donor, our community raised $12,899!

Look for our tree giveaways in late August, and our tree advocacy to be on-going!

One barrier to building housing on public land is the financing risk that market & non-profit developers carry. Other communities have already developed strategies to mitigate this risk. We've compiled some policies we've featured in our latest report:🧡1/4

Our dining room was filled with warmth, laughter, and a beautiful sense of community.

For those facing hunger and homelessness, a meal is so much more than food. It’s a moment of relief and a reminder that people care.

Thank you for your support!

I was honoured to be interviewed by local Girl Guides . They asked tough questions & lobbied for a national ice cream day. I later found out that Sat, Feb 1st is National Ice Cream for Breakfast day so I think that works. So nice to see these girls take this initiative to talk to me. Thanks girls!
