US watching a movie where a vigilante’s entire family is wiped out: “Oh yeah, time for fucking vengeance, this dude will never stop. Get them!”

US watching Iran pick a Supreme Leader who just had his entire family wiped out: “This guy is plainly going to be reasonable and fold.”

Almost no one in Britain has a fucking clue how anything works. Elections. Taxation. Parliaments. Councils. Police. Most people don't have a scooby about the rules for any of them. That's what won the EU vote for Leave. Proper civics lessons in schools are desperately needed.

Hatred, ignorance, fear, greed, and discrimination are viruses, magnified by suffering, carried in buckets, spilled onto the world.

We cannot eliminate them by actions that magnify hatred, ignorance, fear, greed, discrimination and suffering - only by actions that relieve them.

I like this cartoon so much we paid the New Yorker the fee it requested to include it in my book.

We’ve not even had the vote 100 years. Let’s not let thing backslide.

One hundred and sixty-five children were killed in a U.S.-Israeli strike on their elementary school. This is an aerial image of the graves being prepared for their bodies.

I defy anyone to justify this.

Yeah, they do look sturdy but the big red hole for Smart Bricks look ridiculous. And if you don't have a Smart Brick, which most sets don't, then they're just big red gaps. They don't look integrated at all. The whole thing is just a big series of compromises.

01.03.2026 20:25 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Yup. I can't believe anyone at Lego heard or saw these sets and said "Yes, that's ready for market!" They just seem so half baked and poorly thought out. From the build compromises to the sound effects and voices, they're all just so naff.

Attaching your interactive sound & motion tech to a franchise that has iconic sound effects, music & quotes and not being able to recreate any of those sounds or quotes is a bizarre move. Why pick Star Wars? Why not City or Ninjago or Friends, where there's no expectation? What were they thinking?
