Mediocre photos of very fine creatures. From Chicago; in Wisconsin. She/her. Reader. Science fiction fan. For human rights, books, art, health care for all, etc. Trans rights are human rights. Voting is a right. Against fascism.

Hi #EarlyModern Bluesky - did you know that someone brilliant has built working printing presses using Lego and they are trying to get enough supporters so that Lego will release it as a kit?

Part of it may be generational hangover from the Depression. When I was a kid, my dad was carefully checking that groceries weren't mischarged by five cents. When *he* was a kid in the 1930s, five cents could buy a quart of milk.
Fantastic story!!

CHILDREN OF OWL HAS A COVER!!!! With art by Abigail Rajunov, who also illustrated 25 pages of comics in the book. It was an honor to work with her; I couldnโt be happier!! ๐ฅน๐

In the larger Firefly fandom, I'm more aware of people who love the show and aren't used to analyzing its flaws. Not much talk about the Lost Cause, for example. (Those conversations may be happening, but I don't see them.)
The Buffy folks I know are quite aware of the problems with Buffy. They're used to talking about the flaws in the stuff we love. But then I am aware of some more niche corners of fandom, feminist and AO3 folks.
Buddy with a stick!

(If you can find key lime stuff near you. Or even a bakery with one of the kinds of pie. It can be fun when reading prompts tasty snacks.)
My book group enjoyed Key Lime Sky, especially as our host made appropriate snacks. Key lime tarts FTW, okay if you like that sort of thing. (I haven't gotten to any of Hess's other books yet.)
Could be woorse, either one.

I have laid eyes on Lake Ontario, but I've never been in or on its water.
The GMโs Day sale at Drive Thru RPG has just kicked off, so hereโs a reminder that there are a bunch of titles I wrote or contributed to on sale now, covering D&D, World of Darkness, and also some fiction. Take a look: www.drivethrurpg.com/en/browse?au...
