Peaceful evening. I'm hanging out on my deck with Mako, listening to Trio Squirrelito, a local brass trio, playing down the hill for the community potluck, which was pretty great actually. The clarinet/cornet has a nice 'lazy horn' and there's a tuna. I'm tired but content.

Weeding this patch of roadside trillium of the ivy choking it out is proving more successful than I would have thought. There are now ELEVEN individuals, including this tiny one! Collie for scale. I started last spring weeding around 3. The transplanted sorrel is doing well and will spread in time.
The REAL cultural story IMHO is how many people are willing to burn down their own lives and this country so they can be bigots.

Doin a rock out with my cock out, as it were. This young gentleman is Black Ruby (rooby?), one of the chicks Half-note Hen hatched weirdly last October. He is growing up beautifully and is reasonably tame...great apprentice rooster so far.
