a neil gaiman defender contests a response of 'no' to a link to a substack, and is told 'I see that like Neil Gaiman, you don't understand that no is a complete sentence'

When Americans were asked to temporarily sacrifice going to their barbers so we could keep the morgues from overflowing, people with guns stormed the Michigan capitol.
This is sad to hear from a publisher, but hopefully they know why
They spent a decade as a budget brand, Sonic Forces and team racing were just $40.
Suddenly, they jumped to $90 for the latest sonic game.
They also do this for basically every game. Doesnβt feel good!
Did a double take when I saw this email.
For what this means, it's basically that the client began the process to make it a union game, alerting its cast that it would be union, but then did not actually complete the process to do so.
These notices can be rescinded should everything be fixed.
Leslie and Brianne are at a gas station. Leslie, in rabid-poster mode, exclaims "I'm so angry!! I have so many opinions on other people's opinions of the new Pixar movie!!" Leslie, going to town on some Fresh Gasoline, replies "You need to drink more gasoline. It makes all my thoughts and opinions melt away!" But then she sees the price of gas and freaks out- it's "A Lot!"
this @keithstack.com comic is both 4 years old and topical again which is giving me low-grade anxiety
βWhen did the internet go crazy?β Could be around 2003 when I chatted with my first American who told me I didnβt βdeserveβ health care. Iβd contracted latent TB (long story) and said the govβt was paying for my treatment.
Him: βIβm glad my tax dollars wouldnβt pay to fix your smoking habit.β
????
He thought Iβd contracted TB from smoking, not from germs.
And either way, heβd be happy to see me die if it meant his money wasnβt spent on making me better. I grew up in Mike fucking Harrisβs Ontario and Iβd never heard anything so callous. Not to mention nonsensical.
The answer is βalways!β
I have a theory that the USβs lack of universal health care is a big reason for its spiritual erosion. βIf a waitress canβt afford to treat her appendicitis, is she really a worthy member of society?β Itβs a sick way of thinking.
When your money goes into a system that, despite its flaws, has saved the life of you or someone you love at *least* once, it becomes much harder to ignore how a healthy society involves depending on each other to hold the ball.
If Toy Story 5 had any balls it would do the Escape from LA ending to get rid of iPads forever
In this brief cutscene at the end of 'Sonic Adventure 2β²s Hero Story, you would normally see just Eggmanβs arm. Pulling a little bit back reveals that Eggman is a little worse for wear.
Figurines of Brady Bunch and Partridge Family fighting each other
I have created a diorama of the Partridge family attacking the Brady Bunch family. My life is very boring.
One thing I appreciate about old internet humor is how blunt it was. Look at this image. Adding ANYTHING ruins the joke. It's perfect. Why? Because some guy on a message board went "I really want to dunk on this game, what's the least work I can do to get my point across." Pure Distilled Comedy.
It's funny seeing how this is news to some people
Being Brazilian and LGB-T-, going to the US/GDC has not been safe for me for a VERY long time
So.. no ABYSS X ZERO at GDC for the foreseeable future, sorry USians.
I really dont want to go through the transphobic visa process or get killed by ICE
Dang. This makes it crystal clear that, for DOGE, "DEI" just meant "acknowledging Black people exist"
This tweet from Alex Hirsch will always be evergreen.
Disney and Pixar are complete fucking cowards.
Former Pixar employee u/PixelatedRonin fires back at chief creative officer Pete Docter on Reddit over claims on LGBT storyline cut from 'Elio' (2025):
Very unfortunate vocal stim I've developed whenever I do something that hurts
Didnβt he also write School of Rock and play the real Ned Schneebley?l in that movie?
"We're making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars for therapy" huh who made the first ten minutes of Up, I wonder who that was, who did that
"we don't want a million dollars in therapy bills" says the company that threatened to feed Beloved Childhood Toys to the fires of Hell
Itβs only a big βconversationβ when you act like it has to be?
With our kids, the one sort of tough part was telling them that some in the world still disapprove of gay people. But that those prejudiced people are wrong.
Otherwise no big deal.
Now, talking with them about Death - THAT was hard.
PANEL 1 Leslie and Brianne are in their car. Brianne is driving. Leslie: Brianne, how do YOU deal with people who spout the most asinine beliefs? Brianne: Eh, I usually just nod and agree with whoever I'm talking to at the moment. PANEL 2 Leslie: That's no way to live! You ought to take a stand, and speak up for what you really believe in! PANEL 3 Brianne (turning to Leslie and nodding): Damn, you're so right. I completely agree. Leslie: Well, I'm glad you've come to your sens- PANEL 4 Leslie (disgruntled, whipping her head back towards Brianne): Hey wait a minute!
You mfs literally made Inside Out
