Continued my tour through old-school gender bender cinema with Cleo/Leo.
Leo is shot by a woman he harassed and turns into a woman. At first she's a dirtbag dyke, but gradually she undergoes a heterosexualification process π
Movie could've gone in more interesting [lesbian] places IMO
Verdict: It's better than Switch (1991) and Dr Jekyll and Ms Hyde (1995).

the .mkv file format is cool because when you see it you know it's being used to break the law
Veronica Hart is brilliant in this movie; legitimately is a great performance.

The greatest movie ever made
CRISIS AVERTED! I DM'd Leaf and it turns out I know way less than I thought I did.
I do plan on seeing this movie someday, but unfortunately many of the times people have explained what's wrong with the theatrical cut they, FOR SOME REASON, explain what the big spoiler is.
Kind of mutes my enthusiasm for seeing it.

Ok, why aren't you reading this book?

It's hard to put into words how much of a difference you can make to someone's day simply by reading a story they wrote, sharing it, and telling them that you liked it. Not only is the reading itself a worthwhile pleasure, it's also just a wonderful gift. It's so worth doing
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)

Also, I don't usually write articles about gender stuff, but when I do, I write some good shit.

About once every month I publish a collection of more casual comic reviews. This one from earlier in the year contains reviews of Challengers of the Unknown, Maximum Carnage, and George Perez's Wonder Woman.

I'm a visual artist and fiction writer myself, and so when I review comics and movies I come at them on both a craft level as well as a more conventional critical level.
I recently published the first piece in a series about Peter David's Supergirl run. I talk about the history of the comic, its politics, and its writing/art.
