Still waiting for them to reboot it and float a cross-over with John Carter of Mars.

I'd be afraid of having my diner co-opted by Matan Even.
If they had done this, and released Jurassic Park as a musical -- then it would have been the greatest film ever made.
I use ericfate@mas.to when I check in over there.

I'm always happy to spend time with these folks. We always cross paths at least once per LP (I guess twice for "Psychic Reader" since this was the anniversary performance).

I lost a bit of the nuance of this set due to the drunk at stage right who decided to start trauma dumping on their companion, but I still enjoyed enough of what I heard to pick up a CD.

First time seeing HLLLYH. I think I appreciated it as more of an experimental art project than as a music set.
That reminds me, I need to order some parts to rehab my DS. the rubber membrane behind the dpad was never meant to last two decades. Fired it up recently and could only move down and left.
I'm mostly just waiting to see if that Sonoma date ever comes together.
Stop literally everything.
Steve Albini's Fugazi sessions, widely bootlegged and full of lore, now available officially for the first time.

If you ever want to book someone who is an absolute delight to work with, I'll wholeheartedly endorse 'Built To Spill'. Doug is a treasure.
Pretty much everyone I know from the Central Valley has a 'Jason story'. Presumably he's had to reckon with a lot of that since he moved back, but he's got a long way to go to prove he's outgrown his past ways.
And if anything happens at all that he didn't like, real or imagined, then you'll never stop hearing about it. No matter how many of his accounts you block.
So any event you do with him has to be cash on delivery, no upfronts, and it should go to whomever his handler is, because if you give it to him directly, the band will never see it.
You really have to time it carefully. If the show is a one off, he'll do the bare minimum and show up unrehearsed and barely able to remember his own songs. If the show is part of a tour, there will be a few solid appearances, but the instant his mood starts to wane he'll just disappear.
I just pre-ordered 'ChurchyardStreet 8B' yesterday morning.

There is only one choice for me.
Zebra Sarasa Dry Gel 0.7mm pens, one Blue, one Red, and one Black.
I swear by these. Zebra Sarasa Dry Gel. 0.7mm.
This is still easily their best album.
Images showing the last four LP's I have listened to: Top left is "Blue Rasberry" by Katy Kirby, top right is "Michelangelo Dying" by Cate Le Bon, bottom left is "Singin' To An Empty Chair" by Ratboys, and bottom right is "This Is What It Feels Like" a collab between Jordan Whitlock and Memory Spells.
One older release, two recent releases, and one release that I don't think is out yet.
And now it is cancelled. Time from launch to pulling the plug in the servers -- 45 days.
three weeks longer than most of us expected it to last.
Hard to buy things that nobody is producing outside of the limited run collectors market. Unless you count an empty box with a digital download code in it as a physical game spend.
Exactly. I've lived in the same area for decades now. Every month I still manage to stumble across something new. The people who haven't found it either never looked or have deliberately been excluded due to past behavior.
That's the miracle of gas station food, and gas station coffee. Cheap, always available, and significantly better than you expect it to be after you first become desperate enough to try it.
Muffle does what it wants, when it wants. It cannot be constrained by rules.

March 01, 2026 - Joseph @ Harlow's
I think this was my fifth time seeing Joseph. Always a delight. Some new material, some old material, one cover, and a fanbase who is delightful to be around in a concert setting. Even the person in the back who was ugly crying to 'Green Eyes'.

I did not know Sarah's music going into this set. Powerful voice. I will have to pick up one of the albums online to hear what it sounds like with a full band behind her.
March highlights.
