When we understand a problem, the solution comes out of it.
So strong is the impulse to fight when we have been wronged and are angry. Maybe if we can make peace within ourselves we'll be able to reach across the street and make peace with our neighbors who are likewise wronged by the same system. Then if we must fight we can fight that injustice together.

Waiting for someone else to fix it is miserable. Working with others to fix it is exhilarating.

To befriend people with different views we can first recognize that we need them. Together we can shape our nation for the better. We can't do it while dispising each other. First we empathize and understand their pain. If we are less fearful and more empathetic, it starts with us.
They experience elevated fear and don't empathize as readily as others. We need to befriend them, help them recognize the lack of harm coming to them so they can feel less fearful. We need to befriend them without judgement. We need to show that we are not a communist threat but good people.
Great idea! How to integrate that with other forms of pressure, hmmm. So we have:
National Labor Strike
Targeted boycotts
Tax strike
Assembly, demonstration
Direct action laying across streets
That's all resistance, how about community building:

Even with the much simpler calculation of evenly matched candidates and asking only about the probability of either candidate winning all 7 swing states it's less than one in a hundred.
