While I really got into TTRPGs with the litle black books of Traveller, my first actual RPG was "Eye Of The Dragon", a sample game that Ian Livingstone created for his 1982 book about RPGs, Dicing With Dragons. The bundled solo game was basically a prototype for the Fighting Fantasy books.

Halfway through the second of Paul Cornell’s Lychford novellas in The Lychford Collection. Enjoyable rural fantasies.
