I'm getting questions about why there are trans characters in my Fantasy novel.
There's a simple answer: trans people don't need to justify existing.
Glad to clear that up!

Eat shit, Chiliβs. Your corporate values do not align with humanity. Into the bin with you.
I'm one of many professors quoted in this report from Alice Speri. I really appreciate The Guardian taking an angle which has basically eluded every other major outlet.
Three panel comic. Panel 1: three witches stand around a cauldron while one of them stirs. Panel 2: one of the witches adds a scoop of pre workout into the pot. Panel 3: the three witches are getting absolutely shredded in the gym.
I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.
Imagine all the cool, fast trains we could have with the billions we spend on bombs.
Text reads "take a bit of our new product". The image features a cheeseburger that has a stack of several Magic: The Gathering Boosters inside of it. Horrifying, but tempting.
Our other idea wasnβt approved.
I donβt remember my ICQ number, but otherwise same
Tapping the sign.
And BOOM goes the dynamite. To all the AI Bros who have slid into my mentions to tell me that you CAN in fact copyright AI materials, the Supreme Court has told you to go suck rocks. A prompt is not authorship. And if there is no author, there is no valid copyright.

An owl in flight, glancing back over its shoulder against a warm, blurred background. Photographed in Shawangunk, New York.

Pencil. Paper.
An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.
This is pure cruelty.

4-panel comic. (1) [Person with white hat talking to another person.] PERSON 1 with white hat: As Sherlock Holmes said, When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. (2) PERSON 2: What about the possibility that you forgot to eliminate a possibility? Or that you eliminated one incorrectly? Both of those remain, too. (3) PERSON 1: Youβre being pedantic. Itβs just a general rule for deduction. PERSON 2: But itβs a *bad rule*. (4) PERSON 2: How often have you thought, βI canβt find this thing, and Iβve searched the whole house. The only place I havenβt looked is the car, so it *must* be there.β PERSON 2: ...And then itβs never in the car. PERSON 1: *Itβs never in the car!*

Former ICE agent: My first day training new cadets, I received secretive orders to teach them to violate the Constitution by entering homes without a warrant. I watched ICE cut classes that teach our legal system, firearms training, use of force, lawful arrests, and the limits of officers' authority

Another thing I love about Alysa is that her embracing joy, whimsy, artistry, authenticity and prioritizing having a healthy body and mind over aesthetic conformity and optimization blows a massive hole in much of the cultural messaging being pushed on women, esp young women, right now
Alysa Liu telling 60 Minutes βI love struggling, it makes me feel aliveβ is a legit revolutionary statement from a Bay Area native in a time when copious amounts of time and resources are being put toward convincing us to opt out of experiencing struggle, friction and self-actualization
Two panel comic. Panel 1: a museum display of a megalodon jaw fossil, with some museum goers standing around it. There is a graphic on the information tablet next to the fossil, depicting the approximation of the megalodonβs full size compared to a human. Panel 2: β3.6 million years ago:β we see the true megalodon as it existed, a small shark with ludicrously large, juicy lips.
