I am delighted that dogs are able to receive high-quality health care.
But what about humans?
In America today, 85 million are uninsured or under-insured.
Health care must be considered a human right.
We need Medicare for All, NOW.

Walk into a sandwich shop. Itβs regulated for health and safety.
But AI, which will transform the world economically and socially, is completely unregulated. Thatβs insane.
We need to make certain that AI works for ALL humanity, not just the billionaires who own it.
Will AI become smarter than humans?
If so, is humanity in danger?
I went to Silicon Valley to ask some of the leading AI experts that question.
Hereβs what they had to say:
The United States gave Netanyahu over $24 billion in taxpayer dollars to fund his horrific war in Gaza.
That wasn't enough. Netanyahu wanted war with Iran. Trump gave him one.
The American people β not Netanyahuβs right-wing government β should determine U.S. foreign policy.
Musk, worth $829 billion, owns X.
Bezos, worth $234 billion, owns The Washington Post & Twitch.
Zuckerberg, worth $231 billion, owns Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp.
And now Larry Ellison, worth $202 billion, is about to control CNN, CBS, TikTok & HBO.
Yes, this is oligarchy.
Bernie Sanderβs 2028 litmus test would strangle Americaβs golden goose
Surprise! The Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post is against my 5% billionaire wealth tax. I wonder why?
If enacted, Bezos would owe $12 billion in taxes, and an average family of 4 would receive a $12,000 direct payment.
Poor Jeff would be left with just $224 billion to survive.
President Trump was right in 2020:
"We've spent $8 trillion in the Middle East and we're not fixing our roads in this country? How stupid. How stupid is it? And we're not fixing our tunnels, our bridges, our hospitals, our schools? It's crazy."
Israel & Saudi Arabia pushed the U.S. to attack Iran.
Netanyahu killed 72,000 people in Gaza, mostly women & children.
Saudi Arabia is a brutal dictatorship that allows no opposition.
These are the leaders who want to bring βfreedomβ to Iran?
Does anyone really believe that?
The U.S. Senate must be clear: no war with Iran.
Since Trump was elected, this is what his βbooming economy" looks like:
- Billionaires became $1.5 trillion richer
Meanwhile:
- 60% live paycheck to paycheck
- 15 million are losing health care
- 20 million saw their premiums double
I donβt agree with the Trump administration on much but Dr. Means, his nominee for Surgeon General, is right when she says we should ban TV ads for junk food.
Obesity is a national crisis and the corporate food industry is largely responsible.
This is what happens when the Secretary of HHS rejects science and adopts conspiracy theories.
And, unless we stop it, epidemics could become much worse.

Surprise: Trump lies.
My response to his State of the Union.
The overwhelming scientific evidence is clear: vaccines do not cause autism.
So why couldnβt Trumpβs nominee for Surgeon General simply say that?
Last year, Tesla, Ticketmaster and Palantir made billions of dollars in profits, but paid ZERO in federal income taxes.
Do you think Trump will address this outrage at his SOTU address? I doubt it.
Yes. We need a moratorium on data center construction.
Nurses are the backbone of our health care system. Congratulations to the 15,000 New York City nurses in their victory for patient care.
After striking for 41 days, nurses won fair staff ratios and importantly, for the first time, guaranteed protections against AI in hospitals.
Do you think Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos are investing in AI to help the working class of this country?
No, theyβre in it to accumulate even more wealth and power for themselves.
Weβve got to make AI work for working people, not just for billionaires.
At a time of massive income & wealth inequality Trumpβs βBig Beautiful Billβ gave a $1 trillion tax break to the 1% while taking healthcare away from 15 million Americans. Working families will die so that the very rich get even richer.
Yes. We need a wealth tax on billionaires.
Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman says most white-collar work "will be fully automated by an AI within the next 12 to 18 months.β
If thatβs true, itβs an economic earthquake.
We need a moratorium on new AI data centers to make sure AI works for workers, not just billionaires.
Trump is selling out our kidsβ future so his fossil fuel billionaire friends can get even richer.
The science is clear. Climate change is an existential threat to the planet.
We must transform our energy system away from fossil fuels and into sustainable energies.
Electricity, the automobile, radio, TV, computers, the internetβall changed the way we live.
But they pale in comparison to the revolution AI will bring about.
The question is: who benefits? It must work for working families, not just billionaires.
Dialysis provider Fresenius paid its CEO $4.8 million in 2024βthen fired nurse Alan Faustino for speaking out about working conditions.
Fresenius, DaVita, USRenalCare, SatelliteHealth: Union-busting has no place in health care. Bargain in good faith. Reinstate him.
If this is the βgreatest economy in the history of the world,β as Donald Trump claims, God help us.
Donald Trump is withholding billions of dollars in New York infrastructure unless he gets Penn Station and Dulles Airport named after him.
This is not only brazenly corrupt. It is sick, twisted and egomaniacal. The time is long overdue for sane Republicans to stand up to Trump.
At this difficult moment in American history, we must be honest with ourselves:
Our nation, once the envy of the world, is now in profound decline.
For the sake of our children and future generations, we must reverse course.
Congratulations to @uaw.org workers at Volkwagenβs Chattanooga plant on their historic tentative agreement.
This life-changing first contract shows what is possible when workers stand up to demand their fair share.
If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.
Democracy dies in oligarchy.
