I’m doing a FPP pattern that has well over 1000 pcs (pattern is Bali Star Wedding Ring). I truly hate it ! Just the 6 more arc sets - that’s 6 sets of 8 arcs with 8 or ten fabrics per arc. But, it will be beautiful … I hope! Pic is one partially sewn “unit” of more than 20. Yuck!

Even if you/they wear hearing aids, they aren’t worn while sleeping. This is a free service from Red Cross.
They may not work with all hardwired alarms (like mine) , but the installer volunteers will install a battery operated alarm so that the shaker will work.
Highly recommend this service!
FYI (please share this): if you/a friend/someone in your family has a hearing loss, the @americanredcross.bsky.social will come to your house and install “bed shaker” alarms to wake you if there is a fire. Many people with hearing loss can’t hear the high frequency of a fire alarm. 🚨

A needle felted map of my house and neighborhood. Pink background to offset all of the green.
My second needle felting project was a detailed aerial view map of my house. I chose pink as a background because it needed more contrast due to all the green of the trees.
I got this idea from a Valerie Goodwin class on making maps with fabric.

I made this thing several years ago, but today stuffed the bulbous part with fiberfill wrapped in fleece and stuck it on the heater vent. Light speed timing for the cat to get in it. My neighbor called it a Rasta flying saucer.
