We're getting close to the end of this wave of Astro Bot DLC levels. =/ They've all been great fun so far. This week I got global rank 53 with 26.933 seconds in the new level Hard to Bear. 🐻

I ranked 50th worldwide at the time of completion. 👀

This new Astro Bot level has some very cheeky shortcuts! 👀 I got 38.373 seconds!

I don't think I've ever ranked higher than this in any of these speedrun levels. o: I'm sure it'll go down to 100+ in the next few days, so I'll enjoy this moment while I can. :v

I got a best time of 39.482 seconds in Astro Bot's new level "Thrust or Bust". My worldwide rank was 31 at the time of completion. There's still room for improvement, but at least for now I'm happy with this time.

Adding the plugin by following the installation instructions on the GitHub page adds native support for PlayStation and Switch controllers. This allows you to use Gyro functions in your game. I show the two most important gyro functions - for orientation and aiming - on the GitHub Readme as well. :)

I couldn't have done it without all your hard work on the original JoyShockLibrary. :D

Non-console #gamedev often ask how to get started with gyro controls given that most engines don't support them out of the box.

In addition to gyro aiming, you can also get the controller's orientation as a quaternion. (This has been updated to match Unreal's Left-handed Z-up standard)

Introducing JoyShockLibrary4Unreal!

I've been working on an Unreal plugin that adds native support for PS and Switch controllers, including gyro! It's based on
@jibbsmart.com's JoyShockLibrary, and integrates into Unreal's existing input events.

If we're getting a remake, my #1 choice would be a 3D reimagining of the first game. Compared to 2 and 3, 1 has the most colorful and imaginative levels, and I'd love to see them in 3D! And then they could do something like Sands of Time where you can unlock the original game inside the new game. 👀
