hennepin county sheriff's office racked up $1.3 million in overtime in jan 2026. commissioner angela conley says they could overspend budget by $15 million+ this year if they don't change course. today county board unanimously passed a BAR conley introduced that sheriff cannot exceed their budget!
Putting an attorney with no experience at all in this type of case in an obvious intent to tank it actually feels worse than the DOJ just ignoring it
