Students have been responded positively, even to dire forecasts. Like being visited by the Ghost of Christmas Future, they see forecasts as warnings, not inevitable destiny.

Unlike conferences, I can do forecasts every few weeks, even with a large class. I can avoid any grading on submissions and just give feedback.

Had the Beatles book till it was lost in a flood. But the first song learned was House of the Rising Sun. My mother earned sainthood for not killing three boys all laboring away at for weeks.

To the author of a Social Security email with the line "Many of our notices – like the COLA notice and our popular 1099 and 1042 benefit statements – are available online."

I loved the adjective "popular".

Loved it but haven’t seen it since it first aired.

In Joe Haldeman's SF spy thriller "Tool of the Trade" (1987), a KGB sleeper observes that "If there was going to be another American Revolution, it would be to the right. That's where most of the guns were."

Very impressed with this extensive, cautious but constructive guide to generative AI in the classroom.

They're great though my go-to is Better World. I see some complaints on Reddit but over more than a decade of ordering, I've never had a single problem.
