We're a non-profit that calculates 10 regional living wage rates and certifies employers who pay it. We work with local advocates to make sure it is well understood that there's nowhere in the province where you can work a min. wage job and make ends meet.

β€œPaying a living wage isn’t just ethicalβ€”it’s smart business. Fair pay attracts and retains skilled, motivated workers, reducing turnover and training costs.

In a competitive market, reputation matters. Businesses that prioritize fair wages earn trust and loyalty from both employees and customers. Plus, stronger local spending power boosts the economy, benefiting the community around us.”

There's a growing class of owners who don't see labour as just another cost to suppress, and we're proud to list them as certified #LivingWage employers. We get these quotes as they sign up, and they're usually variations on "Paying a LW is just the right thing to do" no matter their sector/size
