Hello quiltsky! A shop mistakenly sent me a Creative Grids 8" 60° ruler, and have since told me to keep it. It's a great ruler and a great ruler company. Thing is, I already own one!
Anyone in the states want a triangle ruler?

It's actually a remake and improvement on one I wrote 10 years ago for a Moda designer - it's called Flower Mill. I think I'm gonna add a border too

My daughter is into Paw Patrol right now and the gender imbalance is driving me crazy. Only 2 out of 6(?) dogs are female and then almost all the human characters are male too.

When I write up the pattern I'm going to go templates/Tri-Tecs ruler, HuRTy ruler and FPP but I used the Tri-Recs throughout because it uses less fabric and I can squeeze 2 blocks from a FQ

A couple of weeks ago I was unsure of the match of two different batches of background fabric. Now I have completed most of the top, I can see that it did actually work! I also learned about Amish quilts today and that maybe the odd piece in a different shade isn't all that bad. #quiltsky

I'm watching Simply Quilts on Discovery + after seeing @stephynb.bsky.social recommend it and I just learned that I'm the same age Alex Anderson was when it was filmed. Also the quilters' nail varnishes are great.

Solid fabrics stacked - Kona Khaki possibly on top, with a new piece of Kona Tan underneath

Okay friends, I need advice. The fabric on the top is one I need more of. I am pretty sure it is Kona Khaki as it matches my swatch card, but in the store the dye lot was so different that Kona Tan (bottom) was closer. Can I get away with these together as a background on an almost finished quilt?
