This isn’t an issue of egos, it’s an issue of people deciding they own another person’s life. men believe that they own the bodies of women. They stare, touch, comment without regard, because of that. They believe women are property, because they’ve been trained a thousand ways to believe it.

We live in a terribly unhealthy society. I’ve seen all people of all kinds act out in ways that told me they were disregulated and in crisis… but the fact remains that men kill women over rejection. Women typically don’t, but there is always a chance that a man will.

Of course they do. They all want the same thing. “Politicians” are corrupt. You don’t get to the state level without being corrupt, selling off either your own dignity or your constituents in order to “compromise a vote”. The wheels get greased and the show continues.

The reason politicians say these things is to gauge our response. “Standing in breadlines” is a meme, one that speaks to a certain generation. No one in their twenties has seen a bread line. So for some it conjures an ephemeral fear, for others a real one. Look closer and what’s being said and why.

They were always pure evil, you just weren’t paying attention.

But why would they advocate for this? Why aren’t the representatives themselves and the governors down here in the crowd with us if they feel so strongly? They know the more we disrupt, the more of us are identified and arrested. They know if they speak out on authoritarianism, that’s one thing…

Yeah, but then you’ll have Kansas and Illinois to deal with, democrats aren’t somehow “better politicians” just because they say things we agree with. For instance, I just finished watching the Illinois governor encourage people to continue protesting ICE facilities… sounds good on its face….
