Remember during COVID when sea shanties were all the rage for three months and we all thought life really couldn't get much worse? Damn I miss those days. Everything sucked, but boy oh boy it is so much worse now.

Each day I am surprised that I still get surprised at how low we as a nation can go.

I had an impromptu lunch with Dr. Bob at a MacWorld NY. We were in a very crowded food court area in the Javits Center and agreed to share a table as it was the only one left. Fascinating fellow and I am glad we chatted for that 20 minutes.

Trying to update to Sequoia on the Mini from 12.7 (the os that was cloned from my 2015 MacBook Pro) via the macOS updater failed spectacularly.
Thankfully the update went just fine from USB media and after more hours of pain than I'd like to admit, the Mini is once again functional.

Wasn’t really planning on doing anything for #Marchintosh, but my 2018 Mac Mini decided to crash hard and I needed to reinstall an OS. Sadly everything I tried would fail and even tried to restore firmware in DFU mode, nada. Carbon Copy Cloner from an old Mac at least got me to desktop on the Mini.
Went to New Hope today to try to avoid the horrors of today's news and saw my childhood friends Sigmund and H.R. Pufnstuf hanging out in a store there.
It was included with the art program Degas from Batteries Included if I recall correctly.

I was never much of a Twisted Sister fan, but "We're Not Gonna Take It" plays in my mind often these days and I am disappointed that many of my fellow American GenXers didn't learn anything from this song.
