I love British Library Publishing's Tales of the Weird series. As well as the excellent "Possessed" I have read "Spores of Doom - Dank Tales of the Fungal Weird" and am currently reading "Evil Roots - Killer Tales of the Botanical Gothic". All brilliant books and plenty more in the series.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 7428:
Don’t sit at your desk all the time. Try to take regular breaks. Take a walk. Breathe fresh air. Look at trees. It helps.

Fanny Bullock Workman (1859-1925) was a geographer and cartographer, a women's rights actvist and mountaineer. She was one of the very first women to climb the Himalayan mountains, and together with her husband, she cycled through Spain, Syria and Turkey for ten years. #CelebratingWomen

Writing is a team sport. The idea is to go out and create more readers and get those who already do to read more. Lift all boats on a sea of words.

I guess it is, unless you count the cost to the environment, the monumental water consumption, the huge demands on global energy and the people whose work it has stolen. Otherwise, completely free, yes.
