I've been asking people to try Bluesky again but there's a real hivemind problem here where many big accounts that post something mildly not-left-wing are met by many with hysterical rage

I'm hoping this trend declines and that we can welcome any neighbors who try this platform again with open arms

The vibes over on Twitter are bleak. Many people, including former Trumpers, are (finally) opening their eyes to the atrocities of ICE, and are raging at Nikita (new head of X product dept) because he accidentally revealed that the algo is basically always pushing ragebait slopaganda

This is good, environmental reviews have been used to effectively block new housing development for decades. We need smarter, denser housing developments, and we need them fast. Otherwise in 2030 we'll risk losing electoral seats to states that actually do build housing, like Texas
